Final Exam Info...    Posted: Jul 26, 2009
Exam #3 will take place on Thursday, July 30 between 7am-8pm. No late test will be given. The exam will cover chapters 8-9,11-12 in the textbook. The exam will be located in your personal grade book. This exam consists of 50 points, taken from all readings, videos, postings and corresponding course content. Test questions consist of multiple choice, true-false and 3 short answers. You have 1 hour and 30 minutes (90 minutes) to complete this exam. The test will have a total of 38 questions, just as what you saw on the previous exam. That is because each essay question is worth up to 5 points. Do not attempt to cut/paste or leave this exam once you have started the test. Doing so will result in a fail in the course. You may use your books and notes, but no 'buddies' system. Lastly, do not hit the 'done' button unless you have completely finished your test. Your score for the multiple choice and true-false questions will be posted in your grade book immediately after t

Also, be sure to include terms and cross-cultural comparisons whenever applicable. Have a great weekend.

Just a reminder...    Posted: Jul 16, 2009
Test #2 is tomorrow (Thursday) and it is available from 7am until 8pm. It is the same set-up as the previous exam. Good luck.

This week's Reading Assignment    Posted: Jul 14, 2009
In addition to the text, there are 2 readings (professor's notes) from the course content section of Pageout: Family and Residence Patterns and Lecture: Shamans prepared by Prof. A. Altounian I think this should make the readings much easier to follow. If you are still having any issues before the exam, please feel free to post the questions or to e-mail me.

The exam will be located in your personal grade book. This exam consists of 50 points, taken from all readings, videos, postings and corresponding course content. Test questions consist of multiple choice, true-false and short answers. You have 1 hour and 30 minutes (90 minutes) to complete this exam. The test is the same number of questions (and 3 essays) as exam #1. Therefore, it will end after question #38 because each essay is worth 5 points. Do not attempt to cut/paste or leave this exam once you have started the test. Doing so will result in a fail in the course. You may use your books and notes, but no 'buddies' system. Test #1 Notes    Posted: Jul 2, 2009
There seems to be some confusion about the exam. There were 38 questions on the test and the exam is worth a max. of 50 points. Please remember that each essay is worth 5 points. Thus, after the 38th question you did not receive any other questions. That is correct and not a flaw in the computer system. Your current grade book reflects the total points given for the true-false and multiple choice questions. It will take a few days for me to grade all of the essays and post all of the scores. Lastly, as indicated at the meeting, it takes up to 3 days to post all assignment scores. I am working on that tonight. Many of you will not receive all 20 points because you did not fulfill the assignment. You need a minimum of 1 page (double spaced) to respond to my question and a full response to a fellow classmate. That response is not one line. Rather, it needs to show that you are thinking about the reading material and applying what you have learned in this class and to th
